Celebrate This Festive Season With The TUDOR Black Bay
The TUDOR Black Bay collection is the result of a subtle blend of traditional aesthetics and contemporary watchmaking.
Celebrating over sixty years of TUDOR Dive watches, whilst at the same time being resolutely anchored in the present, the Black Bay line features dials inspired by the divers' watches produced during the 1960s, and adopts the characteristic angular hands known by collectors as "Snowflake".
Black Bay 31/36/39/41
A festive look wouldn't be complete without your favourite Christmas jumper and a TUDOR Black Bay on your wrist.
Available in four sizes - 31mm, 36mm, 39mm and 41mm - the Black Bay line in steel with a fixed bezel brings a unique aesthetic to the collection. The curved cases feature a combination of finishes that elevates the watch in a contemporary fashion and offers a design language the slightly departs from the brand's iconic tool watch spirit to embrace a sophisticated, versatile, unisex chic look and feel.
TUDOR offers three families of self-winding movement, all used in the various sizes of the Black Bay 31/31/39/41 models - large (MT56), medium (MT54) and small (MT52).
Designed to ensure robustness, longevity, reliability and precision, these TUDOR Manufacture Calibres are certified as a chronometer by the Official Swiss Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC), with their performance going beyond the standards set by this independent body.
Another important feature on the Black Bay 31/36/39/41 models are the five-link bracelet with rapid adjustment clasp. Easy to use, requiring no tools and offering five positions, this practical system allows the wearer to carry out a fine, instant adjustment of up to 8mm on the clasp.
The TUDOR Black Bay 31/36/39/41 watches are also presented in steel & gold "S&G" versions.
With polished and domed sides available in all sizes, the watch's soft silhouette is accentuated by a curved winding crown, and highlighted by polished yellow gold sections across the case and bracelet.
For the Black Bay 31, 36 and 39mm models, there is also the option of a diamond-set bezel, a chic detail that enhances the watch's sparkle on the wrist.
Black Bay with Master Chronometer Certification
Amongst all the delicious holiday treats, the TUDOR Black Bay with Master Chronometer Certification, is one of our favourites.
Representing the latest in Black Bay, this emblematic design is another example of TUDOR's expert command of one of the industry's most demanding standards in terms of chronometry and resistance to magnetic fields.
Tested by an independent body, the Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS), this Black Bay model has successfully obtained Master Chronometer certification.
Covering the main functional characteristics of a watch including precision, resistance to magnetic fields, waterproofness and power reserve, the standards of the METAS certification incredibly high with pre-requisites and tests summarised as follows:
- Swiss made
- Certification by the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC)
- Precision at two temperatures, in six different positions and at two different levels of power reserve: 100% and 33%
- Smooth functioning when exposed to a magnetic field of 15,000 gauss and precision following exposure.
- Waterproof to 200m (660ft) in accordance with ISO standard 22810:2010
- 70-hour power reserve
This is the third application of this standard to watch in the TUDOR collection and part of a constant bid by the brand to improve the quality of its products.
