Bremont Updates Its Supermarine Collection With New S302 Timepieces
Adventurers and explorers have always been integral in testing Bremont ‘in the field’ with the watches being relied on as an essential component of equipment. Testament to the ruggedness and reliability of its timepieces, the Bremont Supermarine has been worn extensively in some of the harshest environments on earth, both above and below the waves. The new S302 heralds a new generation of Bremont’s iconic Supermarine Collection whilst retaining some of the core DNA that this range has become recognised for.
The new Bremont S302 models have been reinvigorated in fresh new colourways with refined features and improved legibility. The stainless steel 40mm dive watch features an automatic GMT movement with 50-hour power reserve, a new 24-hour unidirectional rotating bezel in a distinctive blue and green colourway to give the indication of day and night, date functionality at 3 o’clock, and water resistance of up to 300m.
The S302 Jet edition boasts a black DLC case complemented by a black ceramic unidirectional rotating bezel and a sandblasted black dial, a classic Bremont ‘Jet’ design.
Both models are punctuated with accents of vibrant orange, from the outline of the GMT hand, across key markers in the inner bezel through to the ‘Supermarine’ wordmark on the dial. With visibility being of paramount importance, Super-LumiNova® has been applied across both watches with blue emission indexes and hands. A contrasting green emission lume has been applied to the GMT hand.
For the first time, a new integrated rubber strap has been introduced to the Bremont S300 line. Designed to fit superbly on the wrist, the ergonomic rubber strap has been created in complementary colours to each new watch design. Alternatively, a classic brown vintage leather strap or stainless steel bracelet is available, allowing the new Bremont S302 to suit any occasion or adventure.
New CEO and industry veteran Davide Cerrato has been driving the Company’s evolution since his appointment in May with a clear vision for the future, cementing Bremont as the champion of tool watches and owning the exploration and adventure territory which encapsulates all of the brand’s strengths and heritage. Davide has introduced certain new details to this first step of design upgrade, based on traditional dive design codes; he comments:
“Diving watches are the strongest representation of the tool watch category. The design elements of a dive watch are highly codified and we have interpreted them all in this first step of design refresh of the Supermarine product while playing with interesting colours for a refreshed and revitalised approach.”
