Contemporary Elegance Inspired By The Original TAG Heuer Carrera

Marking the brand's 160th anniversary, today TAG Heuer introduce 4 new timepieces - this time, the iconic Carrera Chronograph is relaunched, featuring an elegant design reminiscent of the historic models, but with a touch of modern flair. Available to Buy Online, or at our The Beacon, Eastbourne store, the new TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph watches strike a perfect balance between advanced watchmaking and unprecedented refinement at the cutting edge of horological technology.

Contemporary Elegance Inspired By The Original TAG Heuer Carrera

The sophistication of this reinterpreted TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph watch comes from its sleek stainless steel bezel, which has been designed without a tachymeter scale, to keep the overall aesthetics in line with the unforgettable silver dial Heuer Carrera that was originally launched in 1963. Showcasing a 42mm case, this stunning timepiece maintains its chronograph functionality with two push buttons and subdials. Available in opaline black or sunray brushed blue (presented on a streamlined H-shaped stainless steel bracelet), anthracite or silver (presented on a handsome brown alligator leather strap), the dial features “azurage” subdials at 3 and 9 o’clock and a running small-second counter at 6 o’clock above a discreet date window.

Exceptional Performance Thanks To The Calibre HEUER 02 Manufacture Movement

The TAG Heuer Carrera line has always featured the brand’s most advanced watchmaking technology. The redesigned models are powered by the Calibre Heuer 02 movement, visible through the transparent caseback. This sophisticated in-house innovation is entirely Swiss-made in TAG Heuer's Chevenez manufacture. This movement comprises 168 components, including a column wheel and a vertical clutch – signatures of improved chronograph timekeeping and high-quality manufacture movements –, and boasts an impressive power reserve of 80 hours.

A History of Unequivocal Elegance

Former TAG Heuer CEO Jack Heuer dedicated himself to the intensive study of industrial design, which heavily influenced the DNA of his most beloved collection and has shaped the design and construction of all TAG Heuer Carrera models since 1963. With these new reinterpreted models, the flowing and elegant touches that sparked Jack Heuer's interest decades ago are more apparent that ever, The uncluttered, three-dimensionality of the dial with its three subdials made it easy to read at a glance and was a truly ground-breaking design at the time - and it is now echoes on these signature innovations. Other details, such as the wide bezel and the applied indexes that follow the angle of the flange, take their cues from another area that inspired the TAG Heuer Carrera, one in which excellent legibility and timing at a glance are of the essence: motor racing.

Born on the racetrack, yet equally at home at a formal evening event, the new TAG Heuer Carrera timepieces exudes sheer elegance and make a striking statement in any situation. They not only serve as a tribute to the collections acclaimed roots, but also demonstrate the brand's expertise in seamlessly combining sophistication in design and watchmaking.
