Earlier this month, we welcomed over 100 clients to an exclusive W.Bruford event held at the breath-taking Herstmonceux Castle (which was lit up green especially for the occasion). Guests were treated to a champagne reception, three course meal and key-note speaker in the form of explorer, and record-breaking mountain guide, Kenton Cool, who has summited Mount Everest an incredible 15 times!

Dating back to the 15th century, Herstmonceux Castle is situated in a 300 acre estate in the heart of the East Sussex countryside, and is now one of the oldest significant brick buildings still standing in England. Surrounded by woodland, formal and themed gardens, the castle (which was also lit up green for the occasion) provided a private and tranquil setting to host our event, with many guests commenting on the luxurious surroundings.

And with the theme of the evening “Explorer” who better to inspire attendees at our event than our guest speaker Kenton Cool, one of the world’s leading high-altitude climbers. An avid adventurer from an early age, Kenton has successfully climbed Mount Everest 15 times (including summiting twice in one week!) and currently holds the record for the highest success rate of any guide on the mountain. Featuring highlights from his many expeditions and climbs including his post-lockdown climb up the Old Man of Hoy in Scotland, during his presentation Kenton spoke at length about what it takes to conquer the greatest mountains in the world - Passion, Precision and Purpose.

Over the course of the evening, we also raised over £3,500 for St Wilfrid’s Hospice, as part of their 40^th Anniversary celebrations, through sales of Limited Edition “Fortytude Gin’ from Seaford Distillery Harley House, and our exclusive raffle tickets to win a piece of ruby and diamond jewellery worth £5,000!
