FUNCTIONAL AND CLASSIC: NAVITIMER 8 CHRONOGRAPH

There is no doubt that the chronograph is among the most fascinating extra functions in mechanical wristwatches. Breitling is a traditional specialist in this field and offers its customers several models to choose from.

Chronographs are more popular than ever. Breitling fully understands this fact in every respect. The manufactory understands the importance of a function to precisely time short or long intervals while at the same time maintaining an expressive look. The new Navitimer 8 Chronograph is aimed at price-conscious customers. Its outer qualities, that is the design code with all its expressive facets, the elaborate case, dial and pointer details, and the outstanding manufacturing quality are in no way inferior to those of its more illustrious counterpart manufactured with Breitling Caliber 01. This chronograph makes no compromises when it comes to reliability and precision either. The Breitling Caliber 13 automatic movement built into the interior of the case has served well in 45 years of short-term timekeeping. A three-dimensional switching mechanism controls the stopwatch start, stop, and reset functions. An oscillatory mechanism, proven over more than one hundred years, establishes the connection between the movement and the stopwatch mechanism. The four-hertz balance frequency mechanism allows stopwatch timing to within one fourth of a second. The 30-minute and 12-hour totalizers are arranged in a vertical line, while the small seconds hand is located at 9 o’clock. Other features of this robust wristwatch: weekday display, window date, at least 42 hours of power reserve, and accuracy officially certified by the COSC.

Breitling offers this timepiece with a monochrome dial in black or blue featuring striking Super-LumiNova® luminescent numerals and luminescent hour and minute hands.

The convex double anti-reflective sapphire glass gives an undisturbed view of this carefully tuned ensemble.
A version made of DLC-coated stainless steel is also available in addition to the classic stainless steel case with a 43-millimeter diameter. Whichever version you choose, the case withstands water pressure up to ten bar. The back consists of solidly screwed stainless steel. You can choose between a leather strap with a pin buckle or a stainless steel strap to match the design of the case.

Finally, the handy rotating bezel with its pointer offers real added value. Clearly perceptible, it can remind you of any upcoming appointments or the expiry of your parking meter.
