Bremont introduces the Supermarine Full Ceramic in jungle green and tactical black
Bremont introduces the next generation of Supermarine: a 500m Full Ceramic, striking, high-performance timepiece. Extensively tested by Bremont ambassador and extreme environment specialist Aldo Kane, a former Royal Marines Commando, Bremont consistently strives to craft the best tool watches for the most arduous environments.
Presented in two variations: limited-edition "Jungle Green" and a "Tactical Black" core edition, the new variations of the robust Supermarine collection unlock endless opportunities to explore both above and beneath the waves. With the Supermarine collection renowned for its diving capabilities, the new Supermarine Full Ceramic showcases 500m water resistance, titanium container and helium escape valve that embody the robust and reliable nature of the range.
The Earth's Jungles are an unforgiving force of nature, home to the planet's richest biodiversity. Its dense, humid, and unpredictable environment challenges all who enter, while serving as a critical lifeline for Earth's ecological balance.
Testing the new Supermarine Full Ceramic while out on undisclosed, yet vital, scientific and research missions to jungle environments this year, as a seasoned adventurer and safety expert, Aldo Kane is no stranger to the hostile environments faced there. It is in these extremely testing environments that Bremont watches are proven.
"I have probably taken my Bremont to more places on the planet than anyone else and the Supermarine has performed incredibly on my jungle missions this year. I first went to the Jungle when I was 19, as a Royal Marines Commando, being trained in Jungle warfare. Over the last 28 years since, I have worked in Jungles all over the world, from tracking tiger poachers in South-East Asia to climbing the canopy in Central Africa. The forest is the great equaliser. It crushes egos, builds resilience, and hones a deep connection to the natural world. If you can operate in the Jungle, you can operate anywhere." Aldo Kane, Bremont Ambassador.
Consistently striving to craft the best tool watches for the most arduous environments, Bremont's quest for innovation led the brand to explore the world of ceramics, one of the hardest class of materials known. With the Supermarine line consisting of robust, reliable, and highly capable mechanical timepieces, it soon became clear that the untouchable qualities of ceramic would be perfect for the next all-conditions tool watch in the collection.
The case of the new Supermarine has been designed in mono-block ceramic, a first for Bremont. From a basis of ceramic powder, the loose material is then placed into a very precisely shaped mould, which is 23% bigger than the final product. Following a high-pressure sintering process at a temperature of 1,450°C that would melt most other metals, the size of the case then shrinks by 23%. After the sintering process, it then that the watch case shows its true colours. Ensuring the cases of the Supermarine Full Ceramic achieve the desired shade, particularly the jungle green variant which is especially hard to achieve, is also a matter of precise calculations, as exceeding certain temperatures will lead to colour pigment burning and unwanted changes.
Finally, the full ceramic case is subjected to a sand-blasting process, to give the watch case a matte finish. This ensures that a Bremont ceramic tool watch meets the needs of even the most adventurous and demanding real-world explorers.
Alongside the mono-block ceramic case and ceramic bezel insert, the knurled detail of the green titanium PVD treated bezel on the "Jungle Green" limited edition has been micro-blasted to turn the hue from green to blue, which creates a surprising and unique detail.
Trapezoid indexes flow from the bezel onto the dial, forming a naval inspired crosshair, which draws the eye to centre of the striking green or black gradient linear dials of each model. Enhanced with applied indexes and black gold-plated hour, minute and second hands, filled with next generation Blue Emission Super-LumiNova® for use in low-light conditions due to its high visibility in the deepest depths, the design epitomises durability and clarity. The dial is elevated further with a date functionality at 3 o'clock and Bremont's moniker "The Wayfinder", reinforcing the brand's passion for and dedication to adventure and exploration.
Available with a woven fabric NATO strap, meticulously woven on 18th century Jacquard French looms, which are yarn-dyed to ensure exceptional colour fastness and durability, the new models are also offered on an equally black rubber chevron strap.
A further notable design feature is the engraved world oceans map on the case back, which emphasises the intent of this fit for purpose sports watch.
"At Bremont our tool watches are worn by those that endeavour to push themselves to the most extreme environments on earth. We are constantly striving to evolve and improve the technical performance of our watches. The Supermarine Full Ceramic is a highly technical and qualitative dive watch, demonstrating our passion for perfection". Davide Cerrato, Bremont CEO
