A New Generation of TAG Heuer Connected
Luxury Swiss brand TAG Heuer has today launched an exciting new generation of its Connected watch - built to deliver ultimate elegance and sporting performance. With the brand a pioneer in the luxury smart watch segment since 2015, the two new watches each showcases TAG Heuer's trademark design codes and access to its ever-growing ecosystem of sports activities, wellness apps and elegant watch faces inspired by its iconic watchmaking chronographs.
Building on the brand's long-standing heritage in the sporting world, the larger 45mm model offers a striking and redefined sporty look, with the smaller 42mm model offering a slim line look built primarily for elegance. As well as TAG Heuer's trademark design mastery, the new models showcase technical improvements across the board to ensure that the new generation of TAG Heuer Connected remains a world leader.
"With these two new, very different Connected watches, we hope to bring a new generation of TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4 to a wider range of customers, becoming a companion in their daily lives: from business to sports activities to the most elegant dinners. Since 2015, TAG Heuer has been a pioneer in the luxury connected watch sector. The development of these new watches highlight how Connected has become a pillar of TAG Heuer, alongside Aquaracer and Carrera, building on 160 years of Swiss watchmaking experience."

A New 42mm Model
Showcasing a more sophisticated and elegant look, designed to appeal to all, the new 42mm TAG Heuer Connected watch will look good at any elegant event, in the office, or whilst playing sports. With a thinner case, ergonomic steel pushers, a thin bezel and a bracelet fully integrated into the design, this new version is strikingly different from the 45mm model, and built for those who demanded streamlined elegance as well as the latest sports and wellness functions.
A Redesigned 45mm Model
Combining sporting design with the feel of a traditional, high-end timepiece, the design of the new 45mm TAG Heuer Connected watch has been significantly changed from previous models, to give the watch an increased sense of flow, and making it easier for people to use on the go.
The crown has a larger diameter, and stands out from the case, so there's lots of room for a finger to access the crown, meaning it can be adjusted and used by just a fingertip, whilst the pushers have a mechanical feel, highlighting TAG Heuer's 160 years of heritage in making high-end mechanical watches. The watch itself also slopes inwards, for a lighter feel on the wrist.
A Choice Of Straps & Watch Faces
Lovers of the new generation TAG Heuer Connected can now also opt for a large variety of straps, including a leather or steel strap for a refined and elegant look, or for a more sporty, rugged feel, customers can also opt for multi-coloured rubber straps.
The new models also offer a curated selection of new watch faces which highlight the many aspects of TAG Heuer's Connected universe. From watch faces based on TAG Heuer's rich watchmaking heritage alongside trendsetting models which offer artistic animations and quick access to all the information TAG Heuer Connected users care about.
The new "Riverside" watch face is animates with an immersive futuristic effect of time elapsing and the new "Wellness' watch face offers information on exercise direct from the watch's home screen, such as live heart rate and the new of steps taken that day.
An All New Feature
A brand new feature for this year on the TAG Heuer Sports App is guided workouts. Built for on-the-go users to stay fit (without having a smartphone nearby), these new workouts consists of programmes of exercises with pre-set lengths. On-screen prompts guide users through exercises with animations on the watch screen, and when the exercises finishes, the watch vibrates to indicate that it is time to move on to the next one. For users who already have their own routine (or fitness coach), you can simply type in your routine and the TAG Heuer Sports App will do the rest.
And There's More...
With the new screen offering industry-leading quality and contrast, particularly outdoors, where watch faces and notifications and sport metrics will remain visible even in strong sunlight, the new 45mm TAG Heuer Connected also offers 30% more battery life compared to the previous version, meaning users can use the watch intensively for sports tracking throughout the day, even with five hours of using the golf functions. On the 42mm model, users can enjoy a full date using the wellness app before the battery runs out.
Synchronising data to and from your smartphone is also faster on the new Connected, thanks to Bluetooth 5.0. The new wireless standard offers data transfer at twice the speed, so everyday tasks such as synchronising wellness data and sports activities to the phone is faster and smoother.
The new model also adds an altimeter, which measures the altitude at the wearer's current location, helping users track more accurately outdoor activities such as running or cycling. Working alongside the battery of other sensors in the watch including the accelerometer, heart rate monitor, compass and GPS, this new feature ensures that sport and fitness enthusiasts can enjoy the great outdoors with their Connected watch.
Finally, currently running on Wear OS 2 by Google, users will have the option to upgrade to Wear OS 3, at no extra cost, as soon as the update becomes available.
The new TAG Heuer Connected models are set to be popular amongst fans of the brand and sports enthusiasts alike, and will available to purchase in-store and online from 10th March 2022. For more information, or to pre-order yours, contact Penny, one our of in-store TAG Heuer experts.
